Lebanon’s Hezbollah claimed multiple attacks on Wednesday, including strikes on naval bases near Haifa and Tel Aviv, international media reported.

Hezbollah fighters reported launching a “salvo of high-quality missiles and a squadron of attack drones” at the Stella Maris naval base northwest of Haifa—the fourth such attack on this base in recent weeks.

Later, Hezbollah stated it used attack drones on the Haifa Bay naval base for the first time and also targeted a base south of Tel Aviv, marking another first. Additionally, Hezbollah claimed an earlier strike on a base near Israel’s main international airport close to Tel Aviv, though the Israel Airports Authority confirmed that airport operations were unaffected.

Hezbollah has continued cross-border attacks on Israel in support of Hamas following Hamas’s October 7, 2023 assault on Israel, which was in response to decades-long occupational crimes Israel has been committing in Gaza.

According to Lebanon’s health ministry, more than a year of escalating clashes has led to over 3,050 deaths in Lebanon since September.
