Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency on Wednesday seized a property in Zaldagar area of Srinagar of a man allegedly involved in killing of two non-locals on 7 February this year, officials said.

The property belonging to Adil Manzoor Langoo at Zaldagar locality of the city was seized by the NIA officials in connection with the killing of two non-locals in Shalla Kadal, Habba Kadal area in February this year, PTI reported quoting officials.

The property was attached under section 25 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), they said. On February 7, militants fired upon two non-local labourers, Amrit Pal Singh and Rohit Masih, both residents of Amritsar city of Punjab, from point-blank range.

Amritpal Singh and Rohit Masih —who were involved in woodwork—were shot at their residence in the Shalla Kadal area of Shahed Gunj.

While Amritpal Singh died on the spot, Rohit Masih was taken to a nearby hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries. The duo belonged to the Amritsar district of Punjab and were working in Jammu and Kashmir to support their poor families.
