Jammu: Secretary of the Information Department, Rehana Batul, chaired a meeting to review the department’s operations. Key attendees included Director Information Jatin Kishore and senior officials.
The Secretary emphasised enhancing the department’s presence on digital and social media platforms for better public outreach. She urged officers to coordinate with ARI & Trainings Department to update recruitment rules, streamline hiring, and support career growth.
She directed effective promotion of the J&K Film Policy 2024 to benefit local startups and external filmmakers and reviewed ongoing CAPEX projects, stressing timely and quality completion.
Director Jatin Kishore highlighted promotional activities at the 55th International Film Festival of India and efforts to fact-check fake news. He noted that designated nodal officers handle misinformation rebuttals promptly on the DIPR portal.
The meeting concluded with plans to modernise infrastructure and enhance efficiency to meet current demands.
