Srinagar:The School Education Department is expected to announce winter vacation in a phased manner starting December 9 as the department is waiting for the government approval.
The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has sent a proposal to the government, requesting permission for the vacation period from December 9 to February 28, as per an order accessed by Free Press Kashmir.
The proposal suggests that secondary and senior secondary classes will begin their vacation a week after the primary level. Kashmir has been experiencing severe cold weather for the past couple of weeks.
