Srinagar: Senior National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani on Friday assured that proposed satellite townships in Kashmir are meant for locals, dismissing the PDP’s claims of demographic changes.
Speaking at the Nawa-e-Subh headquarters, Wani said, “Any satellite township will be for Kashmir’s people. There’s no need for controversy.” He attributed the current situation to the PDP’s past actions.
NC Chief Spokesman Tanvir Sadiq added that the government would address the PDP’s objections officially. “Our decisions prioritise the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir’s people,” he said.
