China reiterated its strong opposition to the forced displacement of Palestinians, emphasising Gaza’s integral status within Palestine and rejecting any attempt to use it as a political bargaining tool.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun, speaking in Beijing, asserted that Gaza belongs indisputably to the Palestinian people and should not be exploited for political gains. He urged the international community to prioritise humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts in Gaza instead of exacerbating the current situation.

The statement from Beijing follows controversial remarks by US President Donald Trump suggesting the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan, a proposal met with widespread opposition, including accusations of ethnic cleansing from Arab nations and others.

China affirmed its steadfast support for the legitimate national rights of Palestinians and advocated for local Palestinian governance as the essential path forward for Gaza after the conflict, condemning any coerced displacement of Gazans.
