Gaza’s Health Ministry announced on Thursday that the death toll from Israel’s military campaign, ongoing since October 2023, has reached 48,365.

In the past 24 hours, rescue teams recovered 17 more bodies from the rubble, while 19 injured Palestinians were taken to hospitals, bringing the total number of wounded to 111,780.

“Many victims remain trapped under debris and on the streets, with rescuers unable to reach them,” the ministry stated.

A ceasefire, in effect since January 19, halted large-scale Israeli attacks, but local authorities report frequent violations by Israeli forces.

Meanwhile, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes in Gaza. Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice.
