Srinagar: As part of the JK UT Budget, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has announced 200 units of free electricity for all Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) families in the region. The initiative aims to provide relief to economically weaker sections.
Other key budget announcements include free travel for women in government transport, the establishment of water testing labs, increased marriage assistance for AAY girls, and a proposal for a National Law University.
On Friday, Omar presented the first budget of Jammu and Kashmir in six years and said it is a roadmap for economic growth and a true reflection of people’s aspirations.
