Kulgam: The Peoples Democratic Party has requested the government of India and Jammu and Kashmir police to launch an enquiry after the body of one of three missing men, Riyaz Ahmad Bajard, was found in Kulgam.

Calling it a ‘serious matter,’ the party said, “This has gone too far to be just ‘incidents.’ We hope justice is served and the truth comes out.”

“Requesting @HMOIndia @JmuKmrPolice to launch an enquiry into the incidents. This has emerged to be a very serious matter and has gone too far to be just “incidents”. We hope justice would be served & that truth comes out,” YouthJKPDP posted on X.

Hours after Riyaz’s body was recovered from Veshow Nallah, families of the other two missing men, Shokit Bajard and Mukhtar Awan, staged protests, seeking their whereabouts. The trio had gone missing from Qazigund nearly a month ago.

Police have launched an investigation into Riyaz’s death and are continuing the search for the other two.
