New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at multiple locations across Jammu on Wednesday in connection with a militant infiltration case, PTI reported quoting officials.

The raids were being carried out at 12 locations, they added.

According to officials, the case was registered last year following intelligence inputs about the infiltration of militants belonging to the banned groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) into India via the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC).

The infiltrations were allegedly aided by overground workers (OGWs) and other militant associates based in villages in the Jammu region, who provided logistical support, including food, shelter, and financial assistance to the militants, the report quoted the officials further saying.
