Kathua: A military operation against militants started in Sanyal area of Hiranagar in Kathua district of Jammu, sources said on Sunday.
Sources told the news agency Kashmir News Observer that on specific inputs about the presence of militants in Sanyal, a joint team of forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
On intensifying search operation towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering the operation , they said.
