New Delhi: A special screening of Bollywood movie Chaava will be held in Parliament on Thursday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior BJP members expected to be present.

The film, which chronicles the life of Sambhaji Maharaj and his execution by Aurangzeb, has emerged as 2025’s highest-grossing Indian film.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis recently cited Chaava while discussing the Nagpur riots, which erupted after Hindu right-wing groups protested against Aurangzeb’s tomb.
