Aligarh: Following the GoI’s directive to states to identify and ensure the exit of all Pakistani citizens from India, Aligarh district officials have confirmed the presence of nearly 50 Pakistani nationals residing locally on valid visas.

District Magistrate Sanjeev Ranjan told ANI that security and intelligence agencies are working in coordination to monitor the situation.

“The number is estimated to be around 50. The Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) holds the precise data. We are extending all possible support to central agencies,” he said, as reported by The Indian Express.

This development comes amid an escalating crackdown on Pakistani nationals living in India on various short-term and long-term visas, particularly following the Pahalgam attack.
