Identify all Pakistanis in India and send them back: Amit Shah to CMs

New Delhi: Home Minister of India Amit Shah has spoken to all chief ministers, directing them to identify Pakistani nationals living in their states and ensure their timely deportation.

This comes as part of a nationwide response to the Pahalgam attack, described as one of the worst assaults on civilians in India since the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Shah also reiterated the cancellation of the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme for Pakistani citizens and stressed that no Pakistani national should remain in India beyond their visa expiry.

In addition, Shah is scheduled to chair a high-level meeting on the Indus Waters Treaty, reinforcing India’s broader diplomatic retaliation.

The Pahalgam attack took place on a tourists at Baisaran meadow in Anantnag district. The death toll stands at 26, with several others injured.
