Pakistan Army opened unprovoked fire across Line of Control in Kashmir: Officials

Leepa Valley in Pakistan Administered Kashmir.

Srinagar: Pakistan Army posts opened unprovoked fire across multiple locations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir during the intervening night of April 25 and 26, officials said on Saturday.

Official said that Indian troops responded with appropriate small arms fire to silence the provocation.

The exchange remained limited, and no casualties were reported on the Indian side, they added.

Such acts, officials said, are viewed as attempts to disrupt peace along the border. The situation is being closely monitored by Indian forces across all forward areas.
