Srinagar: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Friday issued a nowcast alert predicting light to moderate rain and thundershowers over various parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the 3pm update, the affected areas include South Kashmir districts such as Shopian, Budgam, Pulwama, and parts of Srinagar-Zakura-Ganderbal axis, as well as Qazigund-Banihal and Banihal-Ramban stretches. Rain is also expected in parts of Ramban district, Patnitop, and parts of Jammu and Samba.
The department also warned of intense showers accompanied by gusty winds reaching 40–50 kmph in some areas including the Banihal-Ramban axis and parts of Ganderbal and Budgam during the next 1–2 hours.
