New Delhi: Indian military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur were targeted on Thursday by drones and missiles of Pakistani origin, according to an official statement from the Ministry of Defence.
The attacks occurred along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir and were swiftly countered by the Indian defence forces using a combination of kinetic and non-kinetic measures.
The Ministry’s Directorate of Public Relations, through its official handle @SpokespersonMoD, confirmed the attempted strike and reassured that there were no casualties or material losses. “The threats were swiftly neutralised using kinetic and non-kinetic capabilities in line with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),” the statement read.
The Defence Ministry added that all Indian military units remain on high alert, and the country is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and safeguard its citizens.
Security officials are currently analysing the recovered debris to trace the exact flight paths and technological origin of the drones and missiles used in the assault, reports said.
