At least 45 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in what has been described as a new massacre by Israeli forces targeting civilians awaiting humanitarian aid in southern Gaza, international media reported.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the attack took place at the Al-Tahlia roundabout in Khan Younis, where large crowds had gathered for aid distribution. Dozens more were critically injured and rushed to the Nasser Medical Complex.
The ministry stated that emergency rooms, ICUs, and operating theatres at Nasser Hospital were overwhelmed due to the surge in casualties, with medical staff struggling to cope amid severe shortages of essential medicines and equipment.
