Over 90 Kashmiri students evacuated from Iran via Armenia border

Amid the rising tensions between Israel and Iran, more than 100 Indian students — including 90 from Jammu and Kashmir — have been safely evacuated from Iran’s Urmia Medical University.

The students have successfully crossed the border into Armenia, according to the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association.

The Association refuted reports by some media outlets claiming that only seven students had been evacuated, calling such claims “unverified and incorrect.”

The evacuation comes as part of precautionary measures due to the escalating conflict in the region.

Authorities are reportedly coordinating further steps to ensure the safety of remaining Indian nationals in affected areas.
