JK police organises awareness camp on new criminal laws in Budgam

The event included an essay writing competition and a quiz session

Budgam: Under the supervision of SSP Budgam Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, Police conducted an awareness camp on the newly implemented criminal laws at District Police Lines (DPL) Budgam.

The event included an essay writing competition and a quiz session aimed at familiarizing students with recent legal reforms, police said in a statement on Wednesday.

DySP DAR Shri Ghulam Mohiuddin and Inspector Muzamil Ahmad attended the program, which saw participation from 25–35 students and faculty members of Foundation World School, Mamath Budgam. Besides, officials from police also actively took part in the activities.

The initiative met with appreciation from the attendees, who lauded the police department’s efforts in promoting legal awareness and community engagement.

This awareness campaign underscores the ongoing commitment of law enforcement authorities to building an informed and responsible citizenry.

Similar programs are expected to be organized in other educational institutions across the region to ensure broader public outreach, the police said.
