Bandipora: The Army on Thursday said two unidentified militants were killed in an anti-infiltration operation along the Line of Control near Naushehra Nard in Gurez sector of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
In a post on X, the Army’s Chinar Corps said the operation was launched jointly with Jammu and Kashmir Police following intelligence inputs about a likely infiltration attempt.
“Alert troops spotted suspicious activity and challenged, which resulted in terrorists opening indiscriminate fire. Troops responded with effective fire, neutralising two terrorists,” the Army said.
It added that the operation was still in progress.
