Waheed Para urges speaker to include Waqf Board resolution in assembly business

Srinagar: Waheed Para, MLA from Pulwama, on Thursday said that a resolution to restore the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board and transfer its custodianship to the Muttahid-e-Majlis-e-Ulema was dropped during the Assembly ballot.

Para said, “We will formally request Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather to use his discretion to include the resolution in legislative business. Waqf is a sensitive, faith-linked issue that deserves proper debate and a return to local religious leadership under @MirwaizKashmir.”

“Our resolution to restore the J&K Waqf Board and hand over its custodianship to the Muttahid-e-Majlis-e-Ulema was dropped in the Assembly ballot. We will formally urge Speaker A.R.
