A missile strike in Gaza on Monday, December 1, was captured on video as a young girl recorded herself inside her tent.
In the clip, the girl, who introduces herself as Jana, says, “Hi, how are you? I am Jana. I made a new hairstyle. I want to show my hair clips.” Moments later, a missile hits the tent.
Speaking to Al Jazeera, Jana’s mother said the family had been praying when the strike occurred. “Everyone in the tent was killed except Jana and Omar. Thankfully, Jana managed to pull Omar away from the flames,” she said.
Both children sustained minor injuries in the blast.
Israel has repeatedly breached the US and Qatar-mediated ceasefire with Hamas, which began on October 10.
By November 23, Israel had violated the truce at least 497 times, and more than 340 Palestinians had been killed.
