Mohali: On Tuesday, several schools in Punjab’s Mohali, including Millennium School, received bomb threat emails, which also mentioned Fortis Hospital.

This prompted authorities to initiate a search operation, according to officials.

A senior police officer stated, “The bomb threat also referenced Fortis Hospital, where we conducted anti-sabotage checks. While non-essential services were paused, essential services continued without disruption.” Police were seen carrying out checks at the schools.

The security around Fortis Hospital had already been heightened after Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to the facility on Monday evening, just hours after being discharged. Sources reported that Mann was readmitted due to exhaustion.

On Wednesday, bomb threat emails targeting 16 private schools in Mohali led to evacuations and thorough anti-sabotage checks by the police. “These same schools were targeted again, with a mention of the Punjab CM in the email.

The previous threat originated from the US, with a recovery email linked to Bangladesh. Anti-sabotage teams are on the ground,” said Mohali SP (City) Dilpreet Singh. After inspections, no explosives or suspicious items were found at any locations.

This latest threat follows similar hoaxes in schools across Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, and Haryana.
