Jammu: Three inmates, including two Pakistani nationals, managed to escape from a Juvenile Observation Home in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday after allegedly assaulting police officers on duty.

At around 5:05 pm, authorities were informed that the inmates had attacked guards at the facility in RS Pura, Jammu, and fled. Two police personnel, SPO Vinay Kumar and Head Constable Parveen Kumar, were injured during the incident and were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The escaped persons have been identified as Ahsan Anwar and Mohammad Sanaullah, both from Pakistan’s Punjab province, and Karanjit Singh, a resident of Jammu.

Intelligence sources clarified to India Today that the Pakistani nationals had inadvertently crossed into India and were not involved in militancy.

A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the fugitives, and an investigation is currently underway.
