SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat has made it compulsory for all officers, officials and staff to record their attendance through the Facial Recognition Attendance System (FRAS) at both entry and exit during prescribed office hours. Employees who fail to do so will be marked absent, and their salary for that day will be withheld.
The directive follows observations that several employees were not marking their attendance through the FRAS at the time of arrival and departure. Taking note of the lapses, the Competent Authority has ordered strict compliance with the attendance system with immediate effect.
Under the circular, all employees must register their attendance through the FRAS upon reporting for duty and again while leaving the office.
The Secretariat has warned that anyone failing to mark attendance at both the designated timings —9:30 am on arrival and 5:30 pm on departure — will be treated as absent for the day, making them ineligible to receive salary for that day’s attendance.
