Srinagar: Widespread rainfall was recorded across Jammu and Kashmir during the past 24 hours, with several areas in Kashmir witnessing moderate to heavy showers, according to rainfall data compiled till 8: 30am on Sunday.
In the Kashmir Valley, Asham recorded the highest rainfall at 73.5 mm, followed by Sopore (55.4 mm), Wular (54.5 mm), Ganderbal (46.0 mm) and Srinagar (45.6 mm). Pampore received 21.5 mm, Budgam 15.0 mm, Bandipora 10.5 mm, while Gulmarg and Tangmarg recorded 8.2 mm each.
Most other stations reported light rainfall, including Pahalgam (3.2 mm), Shopian (3.0 mm), Pulwama (2.0 mm), Anantnag (1.0 mm), Kupwara (0.8 mm) and Verinag, which recorded no rainfall.
In the Jammu region, Poonch recorded the highest rainfall at 66.0 mm, followed by Rajouri (54.8 mm), Katra (53.5 mm), Samba (45.0 mm), Jammu (42.7 mm) and Ramban (42.0 mm). Jammu Airport received 39.8 mm, while Udhampur recorded 25.4 mm and Kathua 18.2 mm. Other districts received light rainfall.
The rainfall figures were compiled by Kashmir Weather based on observations recorded till 8:30 am over the previous 24 hours.
