J&K Justice and Development Front gets ECI recognition as political party

JDF has formally requested the Election Commission of India to allot an official election symbol to the party at the earliest.

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Justice and Development Front (J&K JDF) has officially secured registration as a recognised political party from the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Speaking on the occasion, JDF President Shamim Ahmad Thoker stated that the registration marks an important democratic milestone for the party. He said J&K JDF has emerged as a people-centric political platform committed to justice, development, and inclusive governance within the constitutional framework.

The leadership further informed that J&K JDF has formally requested the Election Commission of India to allot an official election symbol to the party at the earliest.

“We humbly request the Election Commission of India to allot an election symbol to J&K JDF. The party is fully prepared to participate in all upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir and will engage in democratic politics aimed at addressing public issues and aspirations,” the joint statement said.

The leaders added that the party would soon announce its organisational structure and political roadmap, focusing on public welfare, accountability, and grassroots development across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
