Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a case against the Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) for raising ‘anti-national’ slogans during a programme on Friday.
DeM, lead by Asiya Andrabi while observing ‘Pakistan Day’ in Srinagar had said that ‘all Muslims of the subcontinent are Pakistanis’. During the programme they also sang the national anthem of Pakistan.
“It has come to the notice of the police about certain unlawful acts of DeM outfit through social media videos and other reliable sources where they have indulged in acts inviting penal provisions for offences under various sections of UA (P) Act,” said a spokesman of the police in a statement.
