Anantnag: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said that America and China should take care of their own issues and added that wherever America indulged, it has created chaos.
Mehbooba was reacting to the statement of National conference patron Farooq Abdullah who had suggested ‘third party intervention’ in solving Kashmir issue.
“America and China should take care of their own issues. We all know where ever Americans have gone what has happened. Look at Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq. China is itself facing trouble in Tibet, “Mehbooba said while taking to reporters after inaugurating a tourist reception centre in Anantnag.
She added, “I think we have a road map. We have to talk to each other (India-Pakistan) even after war, like Vajpayee did the Lahore agreement and before that we have the Shimla agreement. What would America do? We have to talk to each other.”
Mehbooba also pointed out that America has created so much ‘chaos’ and does Farooq Abdullah wish the same for Kashmir.
“Is duniya mein itnay baday baday maslay hain. Beda Garak kar diya hai. (They (America) have created so much chaos in this world). Look what has happened to Afghanistan and Iraq. Does Farooq Sahab (Abdullah) want the same to happen to us?,” she asked.
She further added, “Or does he want that our state should prosper. For that we have to take forward the legacy of our elders (AB Vajpayee, Indira Gandhi). Both the countries should respect these agreements and sort out issues bilaterally.”
Mehbooba also said that the skirmishes between the two countries at the LoC should also stop.
“People and soldiers are being killed on both sides. Both countries should focus on removing poverty and other problems of people.”
