Encroached evacuee property retrieved, two field officers attached for negligence 

Jammu: The government today attached two employees of the Custodian Department in Jammu “till inquiry” as the two employees have been found negligent in their duties while encroachment had been done.

Custodian General J&K, Ajaz Ahmed Bhat along with team of officers of Evacuee Property department conducted spot inspection of various evacuee properties in Tehsil Bishnah and District Samba in Jammu and found some of the property encroached upon by some people.

“During the inspection it has been noticed that evacuee property which was encroached upon by various unscrupulous elements have been got retrieved and directions were issued to field agency to fence the said land immediately to prevent further encroachment,” a spokesman of the department said.

The Custodian General J&K also taking serious note with regard to illegal construction raised in village Chuwa Chak and Charley Tehsil Bishnah beside village Behri Tehsil Samba and directions were issued to the Custodian Jammu/Assistant Custodian (Tehsildar) concerned besides field staff to demolish the said illegal construction immediately with such force as may be necessary for the purpose.

The spokesman said the Custodian General issued orders for attachment of Mohammad Younis, Field Inspector Samba and Syed Naveed Ahmad, Field Inspector Bishnah in the office of Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu for their negligence of duties till the matter is enquired.

“The Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu and Assistant Custodian (Tehsildar) concerned have been directed to lodge an FIR against the delinquents for causing damage to the interests of the Evacuees,” he said.

The Custodian General along with team of officers have also visited evacuee orchard situated at village Partap Singh pura(Chang) Tehsil Ramgarh District Samba where some encroachment has also taken place and land measuring about 30 kanals have been retrieved on spot and directions were conveyed to the Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu to fence the said land forthwith.

Meanwhile, Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Deputy Custodian (HQ) Jammu shall conduct enquiry with regard to illegal construction raised in the above said villages and furnish report within a period of 15 days so that further action in the matter will be taken under law.
