DFP lashes out at Raina for justifying Shopian killings
‘Better for Raina to consult psychiatrist than bark in so called assembly’
Srinagar: Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has lashed out at BJP MLA, Ravinder Raina for justifying the innocent killings at the hands of Indian army in Shopian.
The statement comes after Indian army men had shot dead two civilians in Shopian. Police has lodged an FIR in the matter and booked the enter unit for charges of murder. Reacting to this, BJP MLA Ravinder Raina had said that the army had done the right thing.
In a statement DFP said that only a sick mind like Ravinder Raina can say that the army did the right thing by opening fire. “Raina and company must note that Kashmiri people cannot give up their legitimate political demand because of the statements of communal forces of India. It is better for people like Ravinder Raina to consult any psychiatrist rather than barking in the so called assembly.”
The DFP said that elements like Ravinder Raina are responsible for the bloodshed at the hands of Indian forces because the men in uniform get encouraged by these ‘goons who get pleasure out of killings of human beings’.
The DFP statement said that Ravinder Raina’s mental sickness has in fact exposed the so called rulers who for deceiving common people shed crocodile tears on civilian killings. But the people know that those who shed crocodile tears enjoy power by the support of the elements like Ravinder Riana.
“The communal elements like Ravinder Raina must remember that Kashmiri people have never forgotten the human values even after facing at the hands of the Indian forces. We stress upon India to exhibit maturity and accept the historical facts about Kashmir dispute and shun the policy of stubbornness so that precious lives are saved. Arrogance of power, stubborn and inflexible approach of India is the basic cause of the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir.”
The former chief minister Omar Abudllah had earlier said that the civilians were hit directly on there chest and heads which indicate no restraint was maintained while dealing with the situation. He said that despite finding army officials guilty in Machil encounter, nothing was done.
He also accused chief minister of playing politics over dead bodies. The former chief minister also pointed out that a BJP MLA demanded withdrawal of the FIR and on the other hand CM says that the investigation will be lead to its logical end, which shows that the coalition is divided on the issue.
Omar however assured full support to Mehbooba Mufti in all those steps which will bring Kashmir out of the present situation.
Earlier, the National Conference had demanded that all the Army men involved in the incident should be arrested. The BJP, who is in alliance with the ruling PDP, demanded that the FIR against the Army should be withdrawn and a fresh one be lodged without naming anyone.
