Srinagar: According to a report by Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR), a transparency body, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is one of the poorest CMs in India.
With declared assets of Rs.55 Lakh, Mehbooba features with Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal who has declared assets of Rs. 30 Lakhs. According to the report, CM of Tripura, Manik Sarkar is the poorest CM in India with assets of Rs.26 Lakhs.
The report has touted Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu as the richest with assets worth Rs.177 crore. Other members of the rich club are Pema Khandu worth Rs.129 crore and Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh with assets worth 48 crore.
The ADR report also lists the cases against various politicians of the country. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devender Fadnavis tops the list with 22 cases registered against him. The second on this list is Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala who himself has declared in an affidavit that there are 11 cases against him. Arvind Kejriwal has 10 cases against him, making him the third on the list.
