Omar lashes out at Hurriyat leaders for their ‘silence’ over Hajin killing

Srinagar: In a series of tweets, National Conference Working president Omar Abdullah lashed out at the Hurriyat leaders for their ‘silence’ over the killing of 25-year old Manzoor Ahmad Bhat of Hajin.

Bhat’s headless body was found on Friday in an orchid. He was abducted by gunmen on Thursday. Police have blamed militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba for the abductions in Hajin area of Bandipora.

In another tweet, the former chief minister took a dig at at Pakistan which is observing ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ against the recent killings in Shopian.


Omar also said that the term ‘unknown gunmen’ is a convenient cover for those who don’t want to criticise terrorism.
