Pulwama Killings: Valley shuts in protest, restrictions in parts of Srinagar

The Kashmir valley is observing a complete shutdown against the civilian and militant killings in the gunfight which took place in Drubgam area of Pulwama on Tuesday.

Two Hizb militants Sameer Bhat aka Tiger and Aquib Khan were killed in the gunfight. A civilian identified as Shahid Ahmed was shot dead by the armed forces during clashes which erupted near the gun fight site. 15 others were injured in the clashes too. Out of them five were referred to Srinagar for treatment.

Shops and other business establishments are closed in the Valley while public transport is off the roads.  Joint Resistance Leadership has called for shutdown against the killings.

Meanwhile, restrictions have been placed in various parts of the capital city Srinagar to prevent protests against the killings.
