India, Pakistan continue to exchange fire along International Border in Jammu

India and Pakistan continued to exchange fire along the International Border in Jammu and Samba districts on Tuesday.

Police said that 30 border posts of the BSF and some two dozen villages were affected by the shelling. “People have been advised to remain indoors till the situation returns to normal,” a police officer said. All schools close to the IB have been closed.

Recently, After the latest flare up along the border in Jammu, Indian and Pakistani armies in a telephonic conversation agreed to maintain peace however, both again traded heavy fire along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Samba districts on late Sunday.

Pakistani rangers and BSF officials on Sunday had agreed to maintain peace and tranquility on the border.  Top officials of Border Security Force (BSF) and its Pakistani Rangers had a telephonic conversation on Sunday to end the latest border flare up, officials said, after both sides suffered loss of lives and machinery in the heavy exchange of fire along the border in Jammu last week.
