Kashmiri student missing since 2018 ‘languishing in Pakistani jail’, claims family

A Kashmiri student who went missing from a private university in Noida five months ago, is ‘languishing in a Pakistan jail’, the family of the student has claimed.

The student has been identified as 23-year-old Syed Wahid who went missing on December 12, 2018.

According to a report by the India Today, Wahid’s father recently called the Investigation officer of Noida Expressway police station and informed him about a ‘call from Pakistan.’

The call was allegedly made from an inmate who was released from the jail. He claimed that he was told by Syed Wahid to inform his father back home that he was in a Pakistani jail.

“There is one more complaint filed in Jammu and Kashmir regarding a student being missing since December 2018. We have also filed an FIR,” Vaibhav Krishan, SSP Noida, told India Today TV.
