Armed forces launched a cordon and search operation in Hathlangoo village of Sopore area on Saturday and mobile internet was suspended.
Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, 179 BN CRPF and SOG cordoned off Hathlangoo after launched door-to-door searches.
A police officer said the search operation was launched in the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.
He said the mobile Internet was suspended as a “precautionary measure”.
Earlier, two militants were killed in a pre-dawn gunfight in Pulwama.
