Srinagar: An eleven-year-old boy was killed over a dispute in Manznad Kachhama area of Kralpora in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Monday.

A police officer from police station Kralpora told Free Press Kashmir that the dispute between two families, on Friday, cost a life of a minor boy identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, 11, son of Mohd Syed Shah, a resident of Manznad Kachhama of frontier district Kupwara.

The boy, according to the officer, belonged to one of the two families.

The officer added that police have registered a case in this regard and further investigations are going on.

When asked about the circumstances in which the boy was killed, the officer said, details will be revealed once the post-mortem report reaches the police station. “The investigation is under process,” he said.

A similar case was earlier reported on July 9, 2020, in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, after a clash between two families ended with the killing of a 26-year-old youth, who died on the spot in Gohan area of Kokernag village.
