Srinagar: Suspected militants on Tuesday evening shot a Panch in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, injuring him critically.
Official sources said that the militants attacked the Panch identified as 32-year-old Arif Ahmad near his residence at Akhran Qazigund.
Arif is reportedly affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
An unnamed police officer too confirmed the incident and told that the injured was being shifted to emergency Hospital Qazigund.
“He has firearm injury in neck and his condition is critical,” the officer said
