Three militant hideouts busted in Tral, says police

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday said that it busted three militant hideouts in south Kashmir’s Tral area and recovered incriminated material from the possession.

In a statement, police said that based on specific information regarding militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Buchoo-Kamla forests of Tral area; Police with Army launched a search operation today early morning and during search three  hideout of the JeM outfit were busted and subsequently destroyed.

Each hideouts seems “roughly 5 ft × 4ft ×4 ft and were in the axis of the Kamla forests Tral.”

The incriminating material of Jaish-e-Mohammad has been recovered from the said destroyed hideout along with material which seems to be IED material. All the material has been taken into Police custody for investigation purpose, the statement said.

In this regard, case FIR number 78/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tral.
