Army man’s brother goes missing in Pulwama, family makes appeal for return

Srinagar: The family members and relatives of a youth who went missing last week from Tumluhal village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, have sought a general help in tracing their kin.

The youth identified as Junaid Rashid Wani, 20, son of Abdul Rashid Wani, left his home last week and did not return despite family’s search for him at every possible place he could go.

“We tried to contact him on cell phone but his number was switched off and we subsequently approached a police station Lassipora and filed a missing report on September 10, 2020.

The family has also appealed the militant organisations asking if their kin is in their possession, let him go home.

Earlier in a week, a similar incident was reported in Dooru area of Anantnag, when a youth identified as Yasir Ahmed Wani, son of Abdul Rahman Wani, went missing. Yasir’s brother is also working in Indian army.
