Rajouri: An armed forces personnel who deserted from his camp in Budgam district on Wednesday along with ammunition, has been arrested in his native district Rajouri while travelling in a truck.
Official sources said that a truck loaded with fruit and on way to Jammu from Srinagar via Mughal Road was intercepted at a naka on Jammu-Poonch highway in Manjakote area where during checking, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel identified as Altaf Hussain was found sitting along with a driver who was arrested on the spot.
Official sources added that ammunition which he had taken away from Camp in Nagam was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, police officials said that they have taken up further investigations.
