Madhya Pradesh: In a shocking incident, a teenager allegedly ended her life at her house in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara district after getting just six marks in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), 2020.

According to a report by The Indian Express, the deceased student identified as Vidhi Suryavanshi 18, disappointed by the scores, took the extreme decision of hanging herself by the ceiling fan inside her room on Tuesday morning, as per a Zee News report.

However, the family couldn’t fathom how a bright student could get such low scores in the exams, following which they recalled for the OMR sheet.

Contrary to the previous score, the OMR sheet revealed that Vidhi had actually scored 590 marks. Notably, Vidhi wanted to serve the people by becoming a doctor and had studied hard for her NEET examinations.

Meanwhile, police are probing the matter while the dead body has been sent for post-mortem.

The National Testing Agency has already released the NEET provisional answer keys of all the sections of the NEET test and NEET OMR sheets of candidates.

Meanwhile, the case, which is being probed by the Parasiya police in Chhindwara district, has been highlighted by Congress MP Nakul Nath on the social media platform Facebook.

Nakul Nath, the first-time MP, posted about the horrific incident on the Facebook “How can such a serious lapse be allowed to happen in such national entrance test and it’s result. I appeal the government to immediately take cognizance of the matter and take stringent action against those found responsible for the grave lapse,” the Chhindwara MP wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday.
