No talks possible with India until restoration of autonomous status of JK, says Imran Khan

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said that talks are not possible with India until it restores the autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir.

Khan, according to a report by news agency PTI, said this while responding to a question about any possibility of a dialogue with New Delhi during his interactions with the representatives of the digital media in Islamabad.

“No talks possible with India until they restore the autonomous status of Jammu and Kashmir,” Khan was quoted as saying. We don’t have adversarial relations with any country except India which is trying to destabilize Pakistan, he claimed according to the report.

Pertinently, on August 5, 2019, Government of India stripped JK of its semi-autonomous status, revoked its statehood and split the erstwhile state into two Union Territories.
