Srinagar: A military operation against militants has started in Malhoora Parimpora area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Monday afternoon.

“#Encounter started at Malhoora #Parimpora area of #Srinagar. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Police Zone tweeted.
Reports said that a joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in Maloora Parimpora .
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them ensuing the operation. Police officials also confirmed the exchange of firing between militants and armed forces.
