Srinagar Military Op: CRPF officer injured, hospitalized

Srinagar: A sub-inspector of  Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was injured in an ongoing military operation against militants in Malhoora area of Parimpora Srinagar on Monday afternoon, officials said.

They said that the CRPF officer was hit by a bullet in the arm and was immediately removed to the hospital.

Confirming it, a police officer said that the “operation” is continuing and so far no militant has been killed.

Earlier police and army launched a cordon-and-search operation amid specific information about the presence of the militants. (GNS)
