2 non-residents purchased properties post Article 370 abrogation in JK: GoI

Srinagar: The Government of India (GoI) informed the parliament that two persons from outside Jammu and Kashmir have purchased properties in the Union Territory post abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.

The Minister of State (MoS) in the Ministry of Home Affairs Nityanand Rai was replying to the queries raised in the Parliament on Tuesday including whether it is true that many people from other States of the country have purchased and are also interested to buy properties in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir after the removal of Article 370.

The Minister told the parliament that two persons from outside Jammu and Kashmir have purchased properties post the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A on August 05 in the year 2019.
