Pampore: A military operation against militants has started in Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.

The operation began after a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation following inputs about the presence of militants.
As the joint team of armed forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them triggering the operation.
A senior police officer also confirmed the exchange of gunfire between militants and armed forces.
