JK reports 3 COVID deaths, 132 infections in last 24 hours

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported three deaths due to COVID while 132 fresh cases were reported in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

27 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu and 105 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 340293.

There were three deaths reported from the Kashmir division due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4,518 persons—2,196 in Jammu and 2,322 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Moreover, 118 COVID patients recovered during the time, 21 from Jammu and 97 from Kashmir, they said.

So far, 334456 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1319—344 in Jammu and 975 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far, 50 black fungus cases have been confirmed in JK, the officials said.
